Mini Map (Radar) Suggestion?
Dont know if anyone is listening, but here goes.
I think that they should add a small (1 pixel) feint colored line on the radar to signify where the natural "boundaries" are. So many times I have tried to walk somewhere only to find my route inevitably blocked by a knee-high hill. That's annoying!! The line would be very feint (almost to the point of you really having to look at the map to see it), and a drastically different color (Yellow or Orange as an example), so that you could see where you were going easier. Also, give the players the option of turning these new "map lines" on or off.
What do you all think? Am I nuts, or would this be a good idea?

the boundaries, for the most part, are pretty well defined on the map. whenever i run someone, i look at the map for a route to travel and there are rarely problems with it. i'm sure this line you're talking about would help a little bit, but i don't think it would be worth the effort to implement it.

I had the same problem when I first started playing. but after couple weeks, I've gotten use to it now. and I can kinda guess what are the passable terrans and what are not.

Even better would be able to
gasp
step over the 1 foot hill
or jump down a 5 foot cliff.

I think part of the problem is that you can walk under things. Hence the lines would look as if they were blocking you when, in fact, they were not.

Well when I look at both the map and the radar, there are alot of browns that just fade together....not so much of a problem in , say, the snowy areas or during pre-searing, just all that brown......

Eh, you'll get used to it. I used to have a problem with this when starting play during the betas, but after awhile it all becomes clear.

Jump? Step over? This shatters reality as I know it...I don't know....*jumps down a few-foot drop* Oh my god, it works! Quickly, spread the word!

Personally, I'd like line-of-sight opponent detection. In other words, if you can't see your opponent such as there's a wall in the way, you can't see them.
